Massage Therapy

Noel Mountain has been a massage therapist since 1989, he has taught Anatomy and Physiology and Swedish Massage at three different massage schools and for two international organizations. Currently there are several different types of massage that Noel offers at Well Within:

Traditional Swedish Massage: Relaxing long flowing strokes using oil or lotion

Tragerwork: A special type of work that utilizes gentle movement to free up the body. This technique can be done with the patient’s clothes on or off.

Swe-Thai Massage: A combination of traditional Thai techniques with Swedish massage which is done on the table instead of the floor (as in traditional Thai) This technique can be done with the patient’s clothes on or off.

Neuromuscular Therapy: A deep tissue technique that is usually done without oil or lotion and focuses on particular areas of postural distortion.

Body Restoration Technique (BRT): which was developed by Dr Eric Berg, there are two main branches of BRT:

Acupressure Stress Elimination Technique:
The goal of ASET is to help balance the meridians and relieve stress particularly from old injuries.

Neural Pathway Technique or NPT:
NPT works to raise the energy of weak meridian points to help with sleep and pain issues. These techniques are always done clothed.
