Welcome to Massage Therapy
Noel Mountain has been a massage therapist since 1989. He has taught Anatomy and Physiology and Swedish Massage at three different massage schools and for two international organizations. Currently, there are several different types of massage that Noel offers at Well Within:
Acupressure Stress elimination technique (ase):
Developed by Dr Eric Berg, there are two main branches of ASE:
Acupressure Stress Elimination Technique: The goal of ASE is to help balance the meridians and relieve stress, particularly from old injuries.
Neural Pathway Technique or NPT: NPT works to raise the energy of weak meridian points to help with sleep and pain issues.
Note: These techniques are always done clothed.
Orthopedic massage provides amazing results in chronic pain issues. It involves therapeutic assessment, manipulation, and movement of locomotor soft tissue to reduce pain and dysfunction. Restoring structural balance throughout the body allows us to focus on both prevention and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal dysfunctions.
Traditional Swedish Massage:
Relaxing, long, flowing strokes using oil or lotion.
A special type of work that utilizes gentle movement to free up the body. This technique can be done with the patient’s clothes on or off.
A combination of traditional Thai techniques with Swedish massage, which is done on the table instead of the floor (as in traditional Thai). This technique can be done with the patient’s clothes on or off.
A deep tissue technique that is usually done without oil or lotion, and focuses on particular areas of postural distortion.
We understand that there are a lot of choices, and we will be glad to discuss your particular needs. Your comfort and peace of mind are our priorities, so we will always provide appropriate draping, and be responsive to any special requirements that you may have.
